Selection and Preparation
The
site selection process is one of the most important and time-consuming
aspects of starting a franchise business.
It is Celluland's corporate policy to assist the franchisee in finding
the right location. Potential sites are analyzed for market potential,
with particular attention paid to zoning, traffic flow, demographics
and rental rates.
Celluland's consultants will then assist the franchisee in the layout,
design and equipping of his/her new store to conform to Celluland's
uniform specifications. Celluland assists the franchisee in negotiating
the best possible lease arrangements. As a franchisor, Celluland
has been highly successful in negotiating favourable terms, including
specific inducements, and greatly reduced rental rates. All Celluland
franchisees hold their own lease, rather than subletting from the
franchisor.
Celluland grants to the franchisee the non-exclusive right to operate
within an area that will be defined as the "franchise area". Celluland
will not operate another franchise operation within a specified
radius of the franchisee's business premises
